Finally done!

My quilt top is done! I love this little quilt and I am now going to do little stitcheries in the white blank squares that Kelly did them in but I am going to do little flowers. I have really enjoyed this Simple Things quilt along with Kelly of Charming Chatter, and thank you very much for all your work and effort that you put in to have this quilt along happening Kelly Smile Ooh….a big smiley face…..heheh I didn't know I could do them.

Thank you so much and I just love the effect of the little blocks and the red just gives it that oomph Smile Love it!!

Apart from that I have been doing some blocks for the swaps on the forum.

I am rather excited about the next lot of pictures that I want to show you

They are blocks from Out Of The Box that Dawn and I are doing each month.

Pop on over to Catherine’s blog and have a look at what she has done with her blocks. Just fabulous!!

Of course several have put their pictures up on the Flickr and I am over-awed at all the beautiful blocks that everyone has done.

Love all the fabrics and colours and how everyone is mixing the blocks.

Don't forget that Dawn is going to give a little surprise to someone who has their blocks up in Flickr for July. So get them up everyone show us your very creative work.

Just to add a bit of excitement …I am going to give a little surprise too to someone from the Flickr group for July too. So get those blocks done and get them up in Flickr for two chances of winning a little something from both Dawn and I.

Happy sewing everyone and hope that you all are having a fabulous weekend. I am looking forward to watching Downton Abbey tonight….wish it wasn't the final for the season tho.

    Just LOVE that quilt top Vicki .... you're right, that red really makes it pop, I love it ;o). Your mystery quilt looks like fun too, I have a friend trying to talk me in to doing one of those, maybe I should give in and just do it ;o)!!

    I love your quilt top. I am just now getting back into some sewing after I finally got the yard and garden under control. Yesterday my sewing machine broke down on me, I seriously cried. I have had it for about twelve years I think. I feel like I am losing an old friend. :( Luckily I had an embroidery machine that also functions as a sewing machine so I had to pull that out and get back to business. I miss my machine, but the other one is actually a slightly newer and better machine, so it is kinda nice! I still miss the old girl though. I might take her to the shop again and get her in running order. It doesn't hurt to have a backup machine! It's a good thing I did, I am making stuff for county fair and I only have a few weeks left at the most.
    Great job on the quilt top. Thanks for the inspriation and motivation.

    Oh Vicki, I just love how the quilt top has turned out....its simply perfect...and you're right....the red just brings it to life!
    Out of the box has become out of this world hasn't it??? You two gals are just soo clever....and have inspired so many others with your designs....clever chickys!!! :)
