A couple of new patterns

Just thought I would show two of my designs that have been published.

I will have these available from my store as patterns very soon for those who don't get these magazines that they are published in.

The first one is Daisy Buds. I did this with waffle fabrics and love how it turned out.

Fabulous lap quilt and lots of easy instructions and diagrams. I like to have diagrams to explain the process as I think it makes it just that bit easier to understand the patterns.

Daisy Buds (2)

This one was fun with piecing and applique and I machine appliqued the flowers on to the quilt.

Issue 11 No. 12

Daisy Buds

This one I had such fun sewing and creating as it has stitchery, applique and piecing…Plus Prairie Points. Loved it! and looks great on a coffee table.

This one I called Peppermint Creams…cause of the cream and green fabrics. Would look great in pinks…

Did you enjoy watching the Wedding yesterday? I loved watching it and Kate was so beautiful and William was very handsome. I am sure Di would have been very very proud of her son. How did I know Kate was going to have lace on her wedding dress??? Mmmm…it was beautiful. Loved it all.

Just some things.

Do you like different fonts too?

I found a few today and decided to put them onto my computer.

This one is

has Shabby Roses

on it…sweet.

I got myself a Toshiba 17” Laptop the other week and I love it! I can even have EQ7 on it too which is a big plus.

Why is it that when we take photos of our laptops, that we have to have our blog page open on it? LOL.

I mostly got it to take to Western Australia when we go over for my son’s wedding. That is now 2 and a half weeks before we fly off….getting closer and closer.Anyway…I got a carry bag for it but I felt I had to give it a little coat to give it extra protection. I had these two stitched blocks in my UFO box of things and thought…now all I need are some strips and padding and then I can make this…This is one side

and this is the other side

I had fun with it as I did some machine quilting on it and it’s a nice cosy sleeve for my laptop to sleep in now.

I also had fun today as I learnt how to make a Brush in my Adobe Photoshop…see it on the pictures?

I have often seen them on people pictures and wondered how they did them…well I did a google and up comes these very helpful people that show you how to do it.

A few of you have been asking me if I have got my outfit for my son’s wedding…

and Yes I have :)

I was mostly concerned about getting shoes as I have a lot of trouble getting shoes to fit my feet, but I have got some and they are lovely ..well I like them. I love the dress and jacket I got also and so I am ready for the big day. Well…I still got to make my hair a nice colour instead of this airstrip colour that I have and also I am treating myself to a manicure and get my nails done French style :) Oohhh la la :)

Hugs to all……..Vicki  Purple Flowers
