I thoroughly enjoyed looking around Sovereign Hill last week. It is just out of Ballarat in Victoria.
I loved the gold miners huts
and the simplicity of what they had for beds and would you believe there was also a hut with bunk beds in it? Loved it and I bet the kids would love it too…..for a weekend away.
Now that is what you call a very basic quilt….

I loved it how the people who worked there were dressed in that era.
A Chinese woman…..
There were some really lovely little shops and I just loved browsing in them. I really do love ‘old’ stuff and if I could have brought it all home with me I would have.
This one was full of lollies (Candy for my American friends)
Lots of delightful things to tempt you in this one…
Even Rickets Blue cubes…..I wonder who knows what they are for ……I know because both my Grandmother and Mother used them every Monday before the new products came out.
