I hope you like lots of piccies cause I have a few to show you…
I want to show you what design I did for the Let’s Get Stitched weekend we had in Melbourne.
I called it Autumn Rose and lots of the ladies loved it.
I stitched the embroidery design with Aurifil Threads Ne. 12 but it can be done in your favourite threads.
If you want to purchase the pattern you can do so here on my Craftsy store as a pdf or if you want a hard copy then just email me.
Next up is a paper pieced block I am doing…all up I will do nine of these and have done six, so three to go. Then it will be a lap size quilt. Of course with sashings and borders.
I have been doing A Bee In My Bonnets sew along and really enjoyed sewing this little quilt. I find its great as I can use up my scraps.
This is the label for it and I am looking forward to quilting this one.
I am rather proud to show you that my design has been published in the currant issue of Homespun magazine.
I really loved sewing this and designing it and Susan was excited to be able to publish it. I think she wanted to keep it lol. Thanks for sending it back to me Susan :)
I had to have little Lady Bugs…some call them Lady Birds and also I crocheted a frill around the flower centres for a 3D effect. If you don’t crochet then just do appliqué.
As some of you know, I have got myself a new quilting frame and a new sewing machine just for being on the frame to quilt with.
This is my first quilt I done with it.. I have done some quilting on my domestic sewing machine but to have a frame is very exciting!
I just did an all over squiggle and didn't get frustrated like I do on my domestic one - much more room!!
Another thing I indulged in was making this cute little elephant. I have got other felt colours but just haven't got to making any more as yet.
Well I hope you all are having a fab week and creating lots and finding lots to excite you. I have some exciting news to tell you but will tell you in my next blog post.
Hugs to all….
Oh I had to make it so that I moderate the comments as I had a nasty thing that decided she needed to try to upset me. But didn't work.
Lovely work! Good idea to moderate comments - at least for a bit.
