A twist on Jacobs Coat quilt……..

Remember I showed you a little quilt I had designed in EQ7? HERE

Jacobs Coat with a twist

Well I have now finished it.

I even machine quilted it too….not really the best but I am happy with it. There are a few wobbly bits…. I am sure if I had more room next to my sewing machine I could do a better job.

So now I can start on the Vintage Dishes quilt.

Hugs to all……

  6. Vic, that is gorgeous! I cannot machine quilt to save myself (apart from straight or wavy lines!), so I think your quilting is great! Well done, hon. :-)

  8. I can relate to wanting more space beside and behind your sewing machine. I have the Janome table which is perfect for piecing and doesn't take much room, but when I quilt I have to move it and put another table behind and beside it so I am not fighting with the quilt when the weight of it going over the edge wants to pull it where I don't want it to go. I am trying to think of a better remedy for this like maybe attaching a fold down table top to my existing table? When I come up with I will have to make a post meanwhile I keep hoping someone will come up with it for me.

    Oh, I love this pattern!

  9. Great idea to have the quilting design incorporate the shapes of the patches.
