I am having a very slow time at responding to you all who have left comments and get well wishes for me. I am sorry if I haven’t answered you as like to answer anyone who does take the time to leave a comment and if you can all take this as a personal reply to your comments I would really appreciate it very much. It’s just too hard typing with one hand and even sitting at the computer…just did not realise a broken wrist would continue to be so painful after being operated on. I am usually fairly tolerant to pain but this has worn me down.
I haven't picked up anything to try to sew and I am becoming frustrated with the withdrawals I am experiencing with that as there is so many things I want to do.
Time is a big factor and patience too… it’s hard being depended on anyone. I am not some who depends on others at all.
Any how….enough of all the whinging..I can still read emails and everyone's blogs and that helps keep me thinking positive.
Thanks to you all I am boosted by your hugs and well wishes.
Hugs to all……..Vicki
Oh Vicki, I am so sorry to hear about this. I was not online when you posted about your fall. I hope that you will soon be feeling better and your wrist will heal properly.
ReplyDeleteHi Vicki, I know it is really hard for you not to be able to stitch--but you really need to let that wrist heal--so when you can once again get back to stitching it won't give you any problems--in the mean time--can you do your designing ahead--and maybe you could find someone to stitch up some models for you??? Just a thought--am thinking and praying for your healing--take care, hugs, just, Di
ReplyDeleteTake care and get well quickly , you'll just need to be a lurker for a while , lol !
ReplyDeleteOh my! I hope you get better soon. I know just what you mean about depending on others. It is not fun. Get well soon!
ReplyDeleteI really do feel so bad for you. Go ahead and whine...you deserve it. Here's a little thing that might make you laugh. My daugher called me this morning. Her daughter (8) saw a mouse run into the bathroom! My daughter sent her 4 year old boy (only man in the house at the time) to shut the bathroom door and put a towel at the bottom so the mouse couldn't get out. After he was done, he asked "why, mom?". She said there is a mouse in there and he ran screaming through the house. My daughter (like me) is terrified of mice. Mice and bats are equally terrifying. After 2 hours, she put her barn boots on and tucked in her pants, ready to stomp the mouse. She decided to be a big girl and opened the door. Saw the mouse..tried a few times...couldn't stomp it. Oh, wait...there are 2 mice!! (insert scream here) Seal bathroom again...run outside...grab 2 barn cats...throw barn cats into bathroom. Wait a couple of hours. Open door a crack...cats are sleeping....no mice. God bless cats!
ReplyDeleteSweetheart, feel free to whinge as much as you like...we're all here to give you a hug, and we know this is incredibly hard on you. If there is ANYTHING I can do please let me know. {{{{{Vicki}}}}}
ReplyDeleteAnd don't worry about individual email responses! We want you less stressed, not more.
Hello Vicki sweetheart! xxxxx
ReplyDeleteBIG BIG HUGS!!! Thinking of you darling! I did find a mobile phone number for you on your tablerunner pattern, I left a message but wasn't sure if it was you? If you'd like to chat (so you dont' have to reply to emails) then I'd love to chat, I'll email you with my phone number. xx
I broke my ankle last year Vicki, and was so schocked by my emotional response to it. I had never relied or depended on anyone before, and I felt so upset about asking for help. It raised all sorts of issues that I was completely unaware of. Who would have thought that a broken bone could do that? But being motionless in any aspect, and relying on others, is an emotional journey.
I'm sorry to hear you are still in pain. {{Hugs}}
I shall email more often - and please dont' feel the need to respond - I completely understand.
Please remember that I"m only a little way down the road if you would like some company, or some housework doing, or shopping or whatever.
Hugs sweetie!

You poor thing, I know how frustrating it can be to type one handed because you are nursing a baby but a broken wrist is much more painful and awkward to work with. Don't worry about replies, just feel content that we all know what is going on with you at present and are sending good thoughts your way. hugs, Bec xxx

Oh, my dear, you should never worry about responding individually to all your well wishers! None would want you to be stressed by that. Concentrate on getting better and back to new. It will happen. Carol
ReplyDeleteDon't worry about responding, just do whatever reading and enjoying you can until you can return to doing what you love to do!
