Hi everyone… gosh long time no see lol… I do see what most of you get up to on
Facebook and Instagram but blogging seems to be a bit of a slow point for me.
I have been sewing a few things and keeping busy …
These ones are designs from A Bee In My Bonnet and if you don't know but
Lori Holt is one of my most favourite designers.
Next week I am heading off to Adelaide for the
Australian Machine Quilting Festival…
I can’t wait because I am staying with my gorgeous friend Dawn and together we are going to the AMQF
and we are going to have lessons with Judi Masden from Green Fairy Quilts and also we are
going to do a trunk show with Jenny Doan from Missouri Star Quilts ….. How awesome is that???
This is the badge we are going to get for attending the weekend event.
I bought myself a slow cooker…well this one is 8 in 1 cooking so it steams, fries, deep fries, slow cooks and bakes.
So far I have done a couple of slow cooked meals in it and they have turned out great … I am really loving it,
plus I deep fried some chips which turned out great also. I am in a group on FB for slow cooking so
get lots of inspiration and recipes there.
You are probably wondering what these are…… Well they are basted shapes
that I then have sewed by hand into different Rose Star blocks.
I am really enjoying making these and have made quite a few to soon put together to make a quilt.
Just a bit of experimenting with PP…the fabrics are not really suiting this
but I might do it again in different fabrics.
More stitching…this is from Pam Kitty Morning….I am waiting on some fabric to
come so I can finish this ….I have needleturned 9 blocks all up.
and this one is a foundation pieced block…I might do a few more
and make it a lap size quilt…mostly a table topper.
I like to make them that size as then I can put them on my table
and not folded up and packed away in the corner.
And this one is a Mini Medallion quilt which is part of a Series by Chrissy Lux of
Sew Lux Fabric for Clover & Violet.
I am really enjoying sewing this and cant wait for the next round.
Well its now time for me to make a coffee….I am exhausted from doing this blog post he he he.
so I hope you all are well and happy and sewing up a storm.
hugs to all and
