I have been getting newsletters from Michele at the Quilting Gallery for some time now. These are very inspiring and have lots of info and fun in them.
One fun thing I like to do each week is vote for the Weekly Themed quilts that people enter in the contest each week. I have not been game enough to enter any of mine and when this weeks theme came up, I thought well why not enter the quilt I made for my eldest grandson a couple of years ago when he was 10 years old.
I appliqued all the Monsters heads onto the purple blocks and then pieced the alternating blocks and then sashed and bordered these blocks. Don’t you just love them?
I used Amy Bradley’s “Happy Halloween” pattern, when I first saw this I knew my grandsons would love them too. I actually made a very similar one for Bailey’s little brother Regan who was 4 years old at the time. You can see the alternating blocks are different for each quilt and the borders are too. You can read about the quilts HERE too.
They were heaps of fun to do and I kept them a surprise for Bailey and Regan and their Mum too and when I gave them to them they loved them!! Look at my gorgeous boys :)
I told them that every time they feel like a cuddle from me (their NooNoo) to just snuggle in it and I will be giving them a cuddle with lots of love.
I would love it if you could vote for my quilt I made for Bailey and if you could that would be so exciting :) Of course go HERE and put your vote in and if you like other ones then by all means vote for them too :) It’s all fun and I have called it Kooky Monsters.
You have until Monday to vote and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for voting for my quilt :)
Hugs to all…..
