As I can't get to Salt Lake City, USA at the moment for the Spring Market, I have decided to be a part of Amy's Bloggers' Quilt Festival.
My quilt is special to me as I made it in memory of my special son and my lovely mother. I think this quilt was about the 3rd or 4th that I had made and I made this one with out a pattern and just loved all the blocks and fit them in here and there and added others to make up the gaps. The border I designed to fit the quilt and the photos of my son and Mum are the first ones I did with printing on fabric.
I love stitchery and so incorporated lots of stitchery blocks, I recieved several blocks with hearts on them from the lovely ladies from the Craft Forum and so incorporated them into the quilt as well.
I made this quilt in March 2007.
I hope you enjoyed looking at my Memory Quilt.
Hugs to all......

ReplyDeleteBeautiful Vicki....my first 'real' quilt was a memory quilt too....printing photos on fabric and making blocks to fit which was quite ambitious! Didn't quite fit together but made it work...it's still very special as it was made for my in laws' 50th Wedding Anniversary....I look back now and notice the errors of my ways but it's still very spesh!
