As you all know this is a very special quilt us Gum Nutter girls all designed it and put it together for Fresh Hope Foundation to raise some much needed dollars for the very good cause that they do.
If you pop on over to the Among the Gum Tree’s blog you can read all about it and enter in the huge giveaway we are having over there.
To be the winner of my
Springtime Block 8 ‘In A Twirl” pattern,
Springtime Pattern Block 8 - Vicki Tucek (Medium)
I am going to ask you all to leave a comment on this post telling me what you would like me to design in the near future.
It can be anything that you would like to see ‘out there’.
I will draw the winner on 26th January 2011.
Good luck in the draw. Only one comment please *grin*
Hugs to all……Vicki

  6. From what I've seen so far you're quite awesome at this designing thing and don't need "help" ;) Little stuff was a good answer - as I work away at my (aged) UFO pile and remind myself everything I start does NOT have to be a queen sized quilt!

  7. I like very much your individual design, so I think I would like you to stitch the life of the forest, with mushrooms and squirrel and so on... A litlle baby quilt, perhaps?

  17. Wow, lots of great ideas! I echo the idea of smaller projects, especially if they can be combined into a larger project like a quilt or a wallhanging, or combined with pieceing or applique, at maker's choice.

    Thank you for the opportunity!

  30. Wow, opportunity.. and then I freeze.. ummm. I had an idea this morning that I really needed something to hang next to my dresser on the wall with little sections on it to pair up my pierced earrings. I could pin them through a decoration, and they would add to the decor. When I took them off, I would put them back in the same place, and when I needed to find them, I would find them there, in pairs... not in the bottom of a box somewhere.

  31. I love baskets of flowers - with your talent, I'd love to see what you come up with!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Your designs are beautiful! I especially like this pattern with a combination of stitching shapes and words with the quilting, too! Lovely!

My suggestion would be to use your lovely designs in a more masculine (trucks or fishing or sports) design. It's very hard to find boy designs out there!

    Thanks for the great giveaway!

  48. Hi and Happy New Year. I really like all of your designs but I would love to see a bom maybe attributed to women. Like maybe different eras of clothes or maybe like things that are associated with women...something like that. This way it would be just for us...just an idea that I really am not explaining correctly.

  51. I would like to see something where the illustrations could be done in redwork by hand or replaced by a redwork design in machine embroidery of the same object eg: flower or bird or cat etc.
Sometimes it is nice to have a design worked out for you to slip machine redwork, or whitework as I did on red towels at Christmas, in instead of the hand stitchery. Mind you I like both. But nice to dream.

And speaking of Giveaways, I have one for over 1000 posts...all you have to do is choose one of the elements in my blog you have enjoyed.....and please pass the word on. I have a nice Yazzi craft bag as first prize.

  54. Everything you do is beautiful--like many others, there are times when I could use something relatively quick to whip up for a gift. Mother's Day, birthdays, graduations, things of that nature are always coming up...

...and we all love different themes. I love music, sewing, farm life, cooking--any patterns you create are bound to be a hit with someone!

You'll never hit a home run with all of us at once, dear. We're all different and that's a beautiful thing! Do what you love and what appeals to you. We'll love it, too!

  55. Hmmm...well, I too love stitcheries. I collect teapots and teasets, so a stitchery with them incorporated would be nice. Something like a table runner or small tablecloth for a High Tea maybe? I also love, and collect all things bee & beehives, so would love a little kitchen wallhanging with cute bees, and maybe a really nice kitchen saying on it too. Maybe something like, "Eat here at your own peril" - No, no, just joking!!! I mean something nice - a Christian verse would be lovely. Thanks for the opportunity Vicki! Hugs n Blessings from Sue xx
