The Craft Fair in Melbourne is one fabulous Fair to go to. I came home with sore feet….but a very happy heart. ♥
First of all I got there in the morning and while waiting for my gorgeous friend Vikki to arrive, I of course had to look around. Mmmmm….Yummm! Lots and lots of eye candy…
I am afraid I had to indulge in getting some goodies and I met the very gorgeous and lovely Lynette Anderson….talk about a really lovely lady!!
Look at all Lynette’s gorgeous quilts behind us?

When Vikki arrived we headed off to have a coffee and a catch up.
Don’t we make the bestest couple? hehehe.
Then my friend Doris arrived (didn’t get a photo with Doris….but will the next time we catch up) and it was time for us to do a workshop. It was with the new Baby Lock sewing machine that had only just been released in Australia a few days before we got to play on them. We both made a Table runner and I tell you it was fun watching it sew as if it was doing hand sewing.
This is my Table runner that I played around doing.

These are the fabulous things I just had to have *smiles*
Some gorgeous lace….
Couldn’t go past Theodora Cleaves stand without buying something….Love Snowmen. I said, Hi to Barb too….she is a lovely lady too.
I couldn’t resist this lovely tassel….especially that it was in tones of greens….MMmmmm I just had to have it.
Then of course I had to have
This glue….I want to try it as all you need is a tiny dot of glue and no pins. Will be great for needle turn and appliqués.
Then I came across a stall with some lovely ric rac….so of course I had to get some of that ….
and these Bag Handles just had to come home with me…..OOhhhhhh….so many things to buy…
They are a lot lighter in colour than what they seem to be in the picture….I think a bag will look great with them don’t you?
So there you go…..lots of goodies and delights and now you know why my heart was singing when I got home :)

Sorry for such a long post but I also wanted to give you all Block 8 from my Flirting With Flowers BOM. It’s called ‘Buttons’.
This is the last block and I was able to finish it off with these gorgeous little crocheted flowers I got at the Craft Fair. If you don’t have these then buttons will do just fine.
You can download the ‘Buttons’ block HERE.
Within the next couple of days I will have the instructions for the layout of the blocks all put together for you to download and then you too can make it up into a gorgeous wall hanger.
Have fun and hugs to all……….Vicki

ReplyDeleteLol...thanks for showing me how much money I saved...I bought almost the same things last time.
ReplyDeleteI bought a pattern and makings for a bag...not yet made....a lovely handle, not yet used, trimmings etc, not yet used, nice Japanese type fat quarters..just re found in the last two days.
There is a great correlation between what you bought this time and what I bought last time...we must have great taste.....and I must be good at self promotion!!
I did score 30cm of fabric a friend purchased for me...but saved my body and my cash this time.
But glad you had a wonderful time.

ReplyDeleteWow - well first off, let me say your hair looks DARLING, Vicki! Looks like a wonderful day, I love everything you got - is that the Sashiko machine you used? It came out here last September, at the Sewing Expo, and my girlfriend pre-ordered one. It took months to get to her home but she loves it! It really is a neat machine.
