Giveaway - Angels, Journal Cover, Needle Holder & some more!

This is my 100th post and I am over the moon that I have made this many. I want to thank you all for your comments and following me in my adventures thru the time..over two years now!!

Without your wonderful company I wouldn't be where I am today. That's the truth. You all keep me going.

As I am excited about having 100 posts I want to have a little giveaway to celebrate. I have made these different things and the only thing I haven't made and that's the coffee sachet. If you don't like it you can give it to someone who does. The coasters have Angels on them all with a different word. The journal and the needle cover are in the same fabrics which I love and think they look good put together. I crocheted the little soap holder and the soap is a lovely lavender one. I also have put in a little candlewick hanger. It looks lovely hanging over a door handle.

Soooo if you would like to win this little package of goodies just leave a comment and tell me why you sew or do other crafts. I do it to keep myself sane. heheehe but I also love creating and it’s very relaxing to do sewing. That would be one entry. I like having little competitions too :)

WomanSewingHeartsB1 If you put this little picture on your blog and link it back to mine and tell me you have done that I will put you in for another two entries. I will have a look at your blog…its a good way for me to have a good look around all the blogs.

If you start to follow my blog you will get another entry in and if you follow my blog already you will get two more entries in. So do add up your points and let me know. I will keep a tally and I hope I have to write out lots and lots. I hope you all like the different things I have made and want to win them. If you don't have a blog please leave an email addie so I can contact you if you are the winner.

I will keep the giveaway going for a week…so next Tuesday 21st April 09 at around 5pm I will draw a winner. So tell all and have fun :)

Oh heck…I nearly forgot a photo of what I am going to give one lucky winner.

  5. Hi Vicki, such a sweet package of goodies. I stitch/quilt because I'm totally addicted, and I'm not looking for any sort of 12 step program, plus like you I have plenty of time to enjoy the creative side of things. I'm not a follower, but I do have you in my google reader, so if that counts then that would be 3 points.

  6. Oh I would so love to win this giveaway...beautiful! I love to quilt, applique, do needlework of all kinds because it is relaxing and a way to use my creativity to make beautiful things for my home and loved ones. Fingers crossed!

  7. Hi Vicki Congratulations on a milestone. The reason I stitch is for sanity, when i did my degree I missed so much the material and thread maniupaltion, but the design and colour play helped feed that part of my life. So the reasons I stitch are for sanity, the feel of the threads and material in my hands and the design process. I can never follow a pattern with out changing a thread colour or stitch.

  10. Vicki, what a very generous giveaway! I loove the angel coasters ( no surprise huh?) and all the other goodies are just so lovely, but we wouldn't expect anything less from you hehehehe. Why do I stitch and do craft? Well, I also find it incredibly relaxing, it soothes the soul, teaches me patience, keeps me sane too, and it has connected me to some wonderful people via groups and the internet who may not realise that they are adding joy to my life.

    Angel hugs.

  14. Hi Vicki! Congrats on your 100th post, I've got a bit of catching up to do!! But I am rather pleased with myself for working out how to put your sewing lady on to my blog's sidebar! :-) Simple things please simple minds... Oops!! Who said that?!!!

I love to craft for many reasons, it is relaxing, I love the tactile nature of sewing, I am addicted to fabric, but also because I love to make personalised and handmade gifts. I feel very blessed to have found a hobby I get so much pleasure from - and to be able to pass on that pleasure to others is just one huge bonus!
    Happy blog-aversary!

  15. Vicki, I only started sewing late in 2005, but as soon as I made my first block I was hooked. I found sewing to be the missing link in my life up to that point, and now over three years later I cannot imagine life without needle and thread in my hand. It allows me to express my love of all things beautiful!
I think that gives me 4 entries...I'd love to win, they are beautiful!

  48. Congratulations on your 100th post Vicki; a wonderful achievement.

I have made a post about your giveaway on my blog along with the little image. I have been a follower of your blog for sometime now, well since I started up my crafts after some years of my sewing collecting dust.

Why do I sew and craft, well the short of it is, relaxation. It also gives me the opportunity to get to know many other crafty ladies that I would otherwise not know. Lets face it, these ladies are very nice people!

From one crafter to another, thanks for this opportunity to enter into your competition.

  51. I love quilts and handmade items.. My mom was a crochet and macrame person and used many of her items that she made. I like to make cards and stationery but I do sew on occassion, for the boys. I've made some great costumes (like a lobster) for them for Halloween. I like to craft because I like to see how my design turns out! Going from my thoughts to my finished product, it makes me smile!

  54. Hey Tozz!

I stitch and craft as therapy and something that I can do that is just for me, but at the same time it can put a smile on other's faces.
I love making things for other people, you would hardly believe it but there is not much in my house that I have made, I love seeing other people's faces when they receive something from me.

  61. As a retiree I needed a way to use whatever talent I might have to serve the Lord. I asked HIM about it and I was soon introduced to quilting. We made small quilts for the troops. Then lap quilts for veterans. Next I joined a knitting group who makes hats and blankets for babies in NICU. The hospital we work with delivers about 6 babies a day and the majority go home with nothing but a disposable diaper unless we gift them. Sewing for church bazaar so the little church can increase funds and not have to close its doors. I sew because it serves the Lord.
