How lucky am I??

Joy from over at JoyPatch was having a giveaway and so I entered it and my name was drawn out along with two others. I couldn’t believe my luck when Joy emailed me saying I was one of the winners. Over the moon I was!!

I had won her new quilt pattern she had designed!! Wow …I was doing the happy dance.

She sent me this

Ooohhhhhh I squealed with delight…

I opened it and look at all the goodies Joy put in there along with her fabulous new quilt pattern!!

I was so excited with all the dragonflys and just love the coaster with the cherries on it and and a retractable lead pencil…How good is that?? Also a cute little stone with a smiley face on it…awwwww I wuv it!! Plus the most awesome tea bags!!

  I love it all Joy and thank you so much. Just winning your new quilt pattern was exciting enough but to get all these other goodies too…sheer bliss!! Doing the happy dance big time :)

You can download the patterns for Blocks 1, 2 and 3 here and you will need pdf reader to open it.

If you don't have a pdf reader go to Adobe website and download the Reader and install it.

These are for free and please don’t sell, copy or reproduce for profit in any way.

I will give you blocks 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 over the next few days or so.

Of course you can do them up ever how you please and I look forward to seeing yours done. I have done mine into a lap quilt.

The blocks are 6 x 6 inches if you want to do something similar.

A very happy Cockatoo

Just thought I would show you this fabulous Cockatoo that I have just listed in my Etsy shop to sell for my Auntie. She hand knitted it and made it up and when you have it hanging in the patio at a quick glance you think its a real one.

New free stitchery blocks.

I don't know if anyone is interested

or not, but if there is enough interest I will do up these little stitchery blocks for you all to download.

I think they are darling little blocks of pretty hat stands with all the different hats stitched so easily. I have done these and then added blocks with hearts on to make a lap quilt.

The heart blocks I got from the Craft Forum as Caring Hearts made by the beautiful ladies from there. This idea is lovely and who ever wants to, make up a pack of hearts of all different colours and shapes and sends them in to miss~nance who then groups them into matching colours. When someone on the forum needs a group hug someone else requests that miss~nance send out to the one who needs a hug a bunch of hearts. Well I got a bunch of purple ones and then a bit later I got a bunch of green ones and of course making it into a lap quilt is the best idea because then I can have a physical hug from all at the Craft Forum.

So let me know if you would like these Hat Stand blocks and I will do them up for you all to download.

This should fix the error message on blogs.

I had a flash back to the good ol' days of using DOS to program computers.

This is what fixed it for me.
Step 1:-
Open up Internet ExplorerClick on Tools on the menu barthen click on Internet Options
then click on Security
then click on Trusted Sites
then click on Sites
then type in http://*.blogspot.com into the bar under the Add this website to the zone:
then click Add button
then click Close
then click either Apply or OK
Step 2:-
Click on Tools on the menu bar
then click on Internet Options
then click on Privacy and make sure your Settings for Cookies are on Medium High
then click on Sites button
then type blogspot.com into the Address Of Website bar and then click Allow
then click OK and click OK again and close IE and restart and it should work.

Blogs are coming up with Error Message

Blogs I want to have a look at are coming up with these problems.




This comes up first and so you click on the OK button
and then it takes you to this....




I dont know what is going on and wether it is IE having a problem or if its to do with certain things in the blogs. Some one thought it was the linkwithin widget on thier blog but there are quite a few blogs who doesnt have this on theirs so it cant be that what is causing the problem.

I dont know who to contact to sort this all out but I keep sending the information to Microsoft and I dont know if they are doing anything to see what is the problem or not.


I have found if I click on the OK button and the just cancel it from finding what the problem is and just click on the arrow (back) button up on the left of the webpage to take me back to the first page that I wanted to look at and it seems to be ok and not have the problem. But it is a pain to have to do this and it should be fixed.

I really think its IE that has a problem as some have said they are using Firefox and dont have the problem.

So if you are having a real quiet time on your blog you know that people are having this problem and cant view your blog. Not a good thing!! I want it fixed now!!

Down Under Quilts magazine.

I am rather excited about having my bag I designed published in Down Under Quilts magazine. My bag is half Chenille and the other half with patchwork. I loved doing the Chenille on it and hope that you do too.

This is the magazine and my bag is in Issue 133.

This is my bag and after I finished making it I soaked it in Parisian essence to give it an all over blended look.

A beautiful Milk Urn

Here I have a beautiful Milk Urn. I think that's what its called. Its 24 inches high and is 45 inches around the base. It has a lid and is unpainted.  I don't have any more use for it and was going to paint it after I got it sandblasted. That was when I was right into Folk Art and Decorative painting. Now its in my way and if anyone wants to buy it then email me and we can discuss you purchasing it. I am in Bulleen Victoria and it will have to be picked up.

   Its very solid too. You don't see them often with a lid so this one is a rare one.

Winners of my Pattern Giveaway.

I am a little late in getting this giveaway drawn and I must apologise for my slackness.

My life was a bit drastic and internet life was last on my list.

All is OK now and I have done the draw using the old method of writing out all the names and putting them in a ‘hat’…in this case a paper bag.

Peg Bag Swap

I am over the moon with this beautiful pegbag and iron cover I got from Judes Stuff off the craft forum. We swapped as there was a pegbag swap and quite a few of us went in it. This is what I sent to Judy

To Sew A Hemmed Shape

If you are going to decorate your centre Shape do so at this stage.

1. After cutting out the two shapes onto template plastic, cut the fabric out.

3. Lay the large shape rightside down onto surface.

4. Lay decorated small shape wrongside onto the large shape.

5. Start pinning the edges over by turning 1/4 inch over then over 1/4 inch again and pin into place.

6. Turn all the edges over and pin into place.

7. Using contrasting thread to match the large shape and stitch the edge with a hemming/invisible stitch all the way around the hem edge.

8. Lightly press the shape.
