Some happy times and some grrrrr times.

That’s what I had with these blocks.

Blocks done

I sewed them all up and the blocks at the top all turned out great. *Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy*.

BUT…the blocks with the cutest littlest stars didn't turn out. Oh yes actually they did but they were a half inch too big!!!! So I had to reverse sew allllll the bits and resew them at the right measurement. I don't know why the measurement was out but it was. Anyway they are done now and I am happy with them. So I am ready for the next part of the quiltalong with Kelly.

I have also done blocks 2 and 3 of Vignette In Stitches.

This stitchery is so enjoyable to do and I am on to Vignette #3 block 4 now.

Vicki (2)

Of course there are plenty of Shoo Fly blocks to make and then it will be onto the next lot of blocks. I hope to have them done and be ready for when Vignette #4 comes out. Usually I am a real straggler but slowly I am keeping up and that makes me happy.

Hugs to all………

  8. See, now I'd have been thinking those little square blocks must need a thin frame or something before I took those stars apart! Either way, they sure came out cute!

  9. You have been very busy, and the results are beautiful. Love those stars, you are so good to restitch them, not sure that I could have been so quick to do so, but it is well worth your effort. Love the Vignette rows. That will be beautiful.
    Have a happy week,
    Hugs, Marilyn

  18. How pretty! I love your quiltalong stars :) Kudos to you for unsewing and fixing them all.

I'm also charmed by the Vignettes project. It sure would look great at my BOMs linky, if you feel like adding your post to my little "party". Just a spot to share with each other the monthly projects we're working on and motivate ourselves to keep up with them if we can. :) http://whatahootquilts.blogspot.com/2011/06/boms-away-monday-6.html
