A new quilt and other things.

Wow….hasn’t the time gone quick…they say time flies when you are having fun. I have been having fun with this lovely snowman quilt by Kim Diehl. I love it and have really enjoyed sewing it. Lots of needle turn and piecing too. Love it!

Quilt so far

I have had my eye on it for some time now and I even won the book that the pattern was in

Simple%20Seasons%20Cover

so I think I was meant to make it. I am now up to the quilting stage and then its binding it and it will all be done once I sew lots of buttons on to the snowmen for their buttons down the fronts. Also some red buttons among the branches for berries.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have also been having fun making some of these Quilted Zipped Bags….from LuAnn. She has a great tutorial on how to make them. Here’s what I have made….plus I did a couple without zips and changed them around a bit to make them a bit different.
There is one hiding in the background as that is for my special friend and she might see this and she cant see the bag yet as I haven't sent it to her. Actually there is two that are for pressies but the other one that is for a present will be going to someone who does not blog or even goes on the internet. So I am safe there :)
~~~~~~~~~~~

There is a bit of excitement going to happen on the Gum Trees blog and so pop on over and see what is going on.

Hi Vicki, I too have made that quilt and had such a great time making it, from the dear wee blocks through to the applique. I did alter it slightly and will send you a photo to show what I did.
Well done on the completion of it.
