A bit of sewing.

I have done a few little purses and am loving these. They are so easy to make and to put in the zip is easy peasy too. I got these cute purses from Quiltsalott and she has an easy tutorial on how to make them. I ended up making three and will put them into my Christmas Box. Its starting to get a few things in there now :)

Anyway here are mine….

003Also I had to try out this method of sewing blocks together….I got the instructions from a U-Tube video and found this way of doing them so easy and quick.

Oh My goodness….I put a U-tube into my blog….hehehe….Oh well it will save you copying the web addie and pasting it into a web browser.

Here is what I did using this method and I used a smaller triangle than what she did as I didn't have the big one.

I wanted a couple of Christmas Table runners so used Christmas fabrics.

I might have to try other kinds of things too….by making the triangles even smaller and more strips instead of just the two.

What can you make with them?

Have fun sewing and hugs to all………Vicki

  3. Hi Vicki - I have used one of those rulers with both strips made up of strips of balis. And becasue the strips were not all equal you end up with a quilt with the illusion of slightly wavy lines going down - and no matching - apart from the block corners of course!. The quilt pattern is Transistions from Cozy Quilt Designs =
    Have fun with the method!

  24. Your zip purses look so pretty as do the table runners. I am in the middle of doing a tablerunner using the "tube" method. I am pleased with the result so far.
