A Sneek Peak at a two new designs.

I made this lovely ??? and sent it off to Deborah of Down Under Quilts as she wanted to publish it in the magazine. I am so excited about this as its the first time I will have anything published in this fabulous magazine. Here is a sneak peek...Well ya gotta have a little look. Dont cha? It has had its photos taken and should be in the June or July edition. Gee and that isnt that long away now either...time is going to fast!!

I was then asked by Down Under Quilts to design a project for their magazine, and the lovely Editor Deborah, wanted pink as the theme. So off I went to the fabric shop and chose some wonderful pinks. I of course had to have a bit of green in too, and then I was cutting them up, measuring, sewing and Wallah!!

Its now at the magazines and will be a few months before its published. Here is a little bit of what I made just to tease you all. I know you love being teased.

Mmmmm...Actually if you go to the webpage for Down Under Quilts and sign up for the newsletter you get 6 months free to see the Magazine online. How good is that?

Do you like the colours...the picture of it is very close to what they are. They were fun to sew with as it was different to what I normally choose.

I just couldn’t help myself!

I went to Darn Cheap Fabrics today as the other day when I went there looking for a particular thread, they had all these boxes in the aisles full of all these wonderful bolts of quilting fabrics!! Soooo Of course I had to go back and have a look at them all on the shelves. I just couldn’t help myself and had to get some of this one and that one and some of that one and on it went. I had a pile of bolts on the counter and went back for more!! Love it!!

My lovely fabric I bought some lovely shades of brown homespun the other day and so had to get some fabrics that will go with them. Plus I just loved the other ones.

Block 5 is done!

I have been amazed at the size of this block ever since I saw it in the magazine. I had fun making it up and it looks good with the other ones I have done.

Block 5

I am not really a lover of shopping for shoes as I have strange feet that don’t want to fit into shoes easily. So it isn’t all that enjoyable for me. But don’t get me wrong..I absolutely love shoes and would have cupboards full of them if I could get them to fit.

Sneek Peek

I thought I would put up a teaser..seems to be the thing to do lately. Nothing like a good tease eh?

This is part of the bag I made for Willoger for the Forum’s Bag Swap that is happening at the moment. She wanted the colours of Emerald, Gold, Ruby and Sapphire so I do hope she likes the ones I have chosen and also I do hope she likes the bag I have made for her. Yes I have finshed it and have to wait a few days before I can post it to her as its a bit too early to send yet.

Here’s a sneak Peek at part of it.

A Winner has been drawn.

A winner has been drawn for my little giveaway that I had for my 2 Year Anniversary of Blogging.

I cant believe it is that long and that is amazing as usually with things like this I let them fall by the wayside. I really appreciate all of your lovely comments and reading them always makes me smile. I have thoroughly enjoyed myself visiting your blogs and reading all your posts and looking at all the wonderful things you do.

Well with out further ado....The Winner is...I put all the names in the List Randomiser and this is the name it picked out for me.

Sue from creativetreasures has won my bag I was giving away. If you could email me Sue with your address and I will post it to you. I do hope you like it.

Sue said "Vicki you are a very generous lady sharing so much of what you do in your blog. I would like to congratulate you on two years of blogging because so many bloggers do not last that distance. May there be many more years more of inspiring posts from you. Cheers!"

Thank you for your lovely words Sue and I do intend to keep blogging :)

Thanks everyone and hugs to you all

Tisket A Tasket Block Number Three, Four & Five

I have enjoyed doing these little blocks and look forward to having them all complete, I think they are going to be a treasured quilt.
Here's Block Three and Block Four

They are both with the same background but the 3rd one was scanned and the 4th one I took with the camera. The 3rd one is more true to the colour.

Paper Bag Swap

I thought I would show you what I made for DebsW on the craft forum. We all had fun in doing up a Paper Bag with a FQ and some ribbon and lace and what ever we could think of and send to our partner and they then had to make the things up into an item. It was a surprize for the recipient and this is what I made.

001 It was fun to do and I made the squares up with lace and buttons and some stitchery on them and then made them into a bag. Deb loved it and I am really glad she did.
